This seminar series will be of interest to all staff (clinical and nonclinical) who have a role in communicating with our communities. It will cover best practices and research innovations in effective communication to improve the health literacy of our patients and communities.

Seminar 1

Professor Don Nutbeam and Dana Mouwad will provide an introduction to health literacy, including an overview of various definitions, and an explanation as to why health literacy is a resource for improving health and reducing health inequalities. It is the first in an ongoing seminar series run by the Health Literacy Hub which will cover best practices and research innovations in effective communication to improve the health literacy of our patients and communities.




Seminar 1: Tuesday 10 April 2018, then bi-monthly on the first Tuesday of the month thereafter.
